Details: The British Wildlife Photography Awards, now in their second year, will launch its exhibition with over 90 entries and winning images from 14th October at the Hooper Gallery, London.

The exhibition, formed by the winning images and pictures receiving judges’ commendations, which were announced at the beginning of the month, will tour nationwide for over a year from 31st October.

The British Wildlife Photography Awards aim to celebrate the diversity of the natural history of the British Isles and the talents of all photographers practising in the UK. The top image overall was this stunning photo, seen here, of a herring gull braving the waves. The photographer, Steve Young, from the Isles of Scilly, beat thousands of entries to scoop the top £5,000 prize. Fox Pouncing, by Dale Sutton, was highly commended in the animal behaviour category.
