The latest in Fujifilm’s phenomenally popular X series, the Fujifilm X30 adapts and improves upon its predecessor the X20, boasting a best-in-class electronic viewfinder and a new tilting screen.
The X30’s innards house the same 12MP 2/3inch-type X-Trans CMOS II sensor we saw in the X20, as well as the EXR Processor II, and on the outside it has the same 28-112mm f/2-2.8 lens.
Also new to the X30 is Wi-fi, a welcome addition that allows photographers to control the camera using a smartphone, and improved battery life – the manufacturers claim the X30 will manage 470 shots on a single charge.
The Fujifilm X30 enters a competitive market, with main rivals including the Canon PowerShot G7 X, Panasonic Lumix LX100 and Sony Cyber-Shot RX100 III.
