Contest organisers, southbank.london, are on the hunt for the best South Bank winter moments.

Entries will be judged on composition, creativity and on how photographers depict the South Bank’s ‘unique winter spirit’.

Promoting the project, southbank.london says: ‘South Bank is one of the most popular destinations in the capital for wintry walks, with iconic riverside views including the Houses of Parliament, Coca-Cola London Eye, National Theatre and OXO Tower Bar, Restaurant & Brasserie.

‘The area’s eclectic mix of restaurants and cafes, paired with the historic panoramas, provide many photographic opportunities.’

Images must be uploaded to the entrant’s own Instagram account, and tagged #MySouthBankWinter.

The winner will have their entry showcased as part of a poster campaign across 20 sites in and around the South Bank.

It will also be shared on Twitter and Instagram and published in the organiser’s March newsletter.

They will also receive an invitation to the South Bank Instameet, which takes place in the summer.

Competition rules state that photographers will be credited for future use ‘as feasible’.

Organisers say that although images may be freely used online once the competition has ended, with a credit, they would seek consent from the photographer for any subsequent use in print.

The competition closes on 29 February 2016.
