Samsung reveals its ‘smallest’ digital camera

Billed as its smallest-ever digital camera Samsung has launched an ?ultra-slim? five-million-pixel digital compact called the i5.
Boasting a thickness of 17.3mm the i5 sports a 3x optical zoom lens and a 2.5in LCD monitor.
Out in a choice of silver, black, red or blue the debutante is expected to be available for ?under £250?, according to the company.
Scene modes include portrait, night scene, sunset, fireworks, beach and snow.
Samsung claims its latest creation can shoot as close as 1cm from the subject using the super macro mode.
There is also a ?text? function designed to allow the user to photograph documents and then extract the text from the images using software called Digimax Viewer which comes with the kit.
The i5 measures around 9cm long and 6cm wide.
