Renowned chef Marco Pierre White is set to stage a ?permanent? photography exhibition at one of his London restaurants in tribute to his friend, the late Bob Carlos Clarke.

The award-winning photographer worked with the Michelin-starred chef on his 1990 book White Heat, which included one of the photographer?s best-known images of the chef (pictured).

?Bob paid a significant role in my life,’ said Marco Pierre White. ‘He was like my prop. Without Bob there would never have been White Heat. He was in my opinion the greatest photographer Britain has ever produced.?

Bob Carlos Clarke died in March aged 55.

The exhibition ? entitled Dark Genius ? is due to open on 14 November at the Luciano restaurant, 72-73 St James?s Street, London SW1A 1PH. Tel: 020 7408 1440.
