US-based Autel Robotics, which makes the X-Star line of drones for aerial photography, declared its support for Micro Four Thirds in a statement released by Olympus yesterday. The firm recently showcased a drone said to be capable of vertical take-off and then transforming into a fixed-wing aeroplane. The ‘Kestrel’ was unveiled at last month’s CES technology show in Las Vegas. Also joining the Micro Four Thirds format are: Xacti Corporation, nac Image Technology Inc, Meitu (Xiamen Meitu Mobile Technology Co Ltd) and 3db Hardware Technology Inc.
