A week-long workshop hosted by photographers from the legendary Magnum agency is up for grabs for two people this summer.
The event, from 14-20 June, will be led by Magnum photographers Chris Steele-Perkins and Simon Wheatley whose London-based studio will host the workshops.
Worth £750 each, the course will involve participants producing an ?individual project under the same structure as professional assignments?, according to Magnum.
The prize is aimed at advanced photographers ? both amateur and professional ? adds Calumet Photographic, which is sponsoring the competition.
Entries must be submitted online and consist of a maximum of 12 images that reflect ?the visual identity of the individual?.
Commenting on the Magnum Workshop East London event, a Magnum spokesman said: ?This will be an exciting opportunity to build a body of work focusing on the topical regeneration of East London.
?Successful candidates will spend the week developing their skills, ideas and visual language to pursue documentary projects that fall under the framework of ?The New East End? ? a part of London undergoing rapid and profound transformation.?
The spokesman added: ?The process of editing and criticising the work produced will be a principal part of the learning process and conducted on a daily basis by the Magnum photographers and all participants.?
During the week, participants will also benefit from a lecture by US-based Magnum photographer Eli Reed.
The work will result in an exhibition to be held at the Calumet Gallery in Euston.
