Grays of Westminster Exclusively… Nikon: The Legend and The Legacy charts the history of a shop founded by Gray Levett, from humble beginnings to a highly regarded Nikon-only retailer.
Over the past three decades, the Pimlico-based store has attracted high-profile customers from the worlds of photography and movie-making, including film director Stanley Kubrick and actor David Suchet.
Grays of Westminster has won praise for its customer service, in particular.
In 2014, it was granted a coat of arms.
Among those quoted in the book is Kazuo Ushida, president of Nikon Corporation, who says: ‘Grays of Westminster and Nikon represent a timeless partnership and I am honoured to be able to celebrate their 30th anniversary and to be part of their journey through history.’
Written by Gillian Greenwood, the 208-page hardback showcases more than 180 images by photographer Tony Hurst.
The book includes contributions from renowned photographers such as Heather Angel, Jim Brandenburg, Richard Young and former Amateur Photographer columnist Mike Maloney OBE.
