The K-70 will cost £559.99 (body only), and will also be available with an 18-135mm lens in a kit priced £799.99.

The ‘dustproof and weather-resistant’ 24.2-million-pixel model has a PRIME MII processing engine.

Other features include Pentax’s Pixel Shift Resolution System and a shake-reduction mechanism that aims to provide a compensation effect of around 4.5 shutter steps.

Ricoh has also today confirmed that the Pentax HD Pentax-DA 55-300mm F/4.5-6.3 ED PLM WR RE will go on sale at the end of August, for the cost of £399.99.

The lens is designed to deliver the 35mm viewing-angle equivalent of 84.5-460mm.

Both products were first announced in June.
