Jessops to slash 200 jobs across stores
March 26, 2008
Jessops is poised to cut around 200 assistant manager jobs across its store network but does not plan further shop closures, a source close to the company has revealed.
Earlier today we revealed that the firm plans further cuts following its axing of 550 jobs last year as part of restructuring that led to the closure of 81 stores.
A source has confirmed to Amateur Photographer that the shops affected by the fresh job cuts will be those which carry an assistant manager or deputy manager, in addition to a managerial position.
In addition, ?five or six? positions will be lost at Jessops? head office in Leicester, the source added.
