The race is on to find the world?s best fire-fighting images in a competition boasting a top prize of a Sigma zoom lens.
The project has been launched as part of the World Firefighters Games, which will take place in Liverpool next year.
Open to ?amateur photographers? the fire-themed photo competition features four categories entitled: Operational Incidents; Vehicles and Equipment; Previous World Firefighters Games and Heat.
The Operational Incidents section, for example, can include photographs of Fire and Rescue Services staff doing their jobs, such as attending buildings on fire, road traffic collisions or water rescue. While, the Heat category can include ?a child eating an ice-cream on a hot day?.
The winner will bag a Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 EX DG Macro standard zoom lens worth around £350.
They will also receive membership of the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers and the British Professional Photographers Association, who are sponsoring the contest.
It costs £10 to enter up to four images. This fee goes towards ?administration? costs, say organisers.
Rules state that organisers may reproduce entries, but only in connection with the competition.
