The X-A3, which in the UK will only be sold at Jessops stores, houses a new 24.2-million-pixel APS-C imaging sensor.

The camera may appeal to X-series newcomers when it goes on sale at the end of September.

It is due to cost £599 with a 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 OIS II lens.

‘Designed with the younger generation in mind, the X-A3 is perfectly suited to taking self-portraits, thanks to an LCD screen that is not blocked by the camera when tilted by 180 degrees – thus helping to maintain 100% visibility,’ claims Fuji.

Users can take advantage of Eye Detection AF, 11 film-simulation modes, a top shutter speed of 1/32,000sec and ISO sensitivity extendable to ISO 25,600.

Touch AF, Touch Shoot and Touch Zoom are possible using the LCD touchscreen on the back.

Fuji says it has extended battery life to a ‘class-leading’ 410 frames per charge.

Built-in Wi-Fi makes remote shooting possible from a smartphone or tablet computer.

The X-A3 will be available in a choice of pink, brown and black.
