Renowned photographer Rankin is calling on 1,000 people across the UK to take part in a charity exhibition in which he will attempt to shoot their portrait and have it put on display in ?15 minutes?.

Rankin says he is looking for people aged 13 and over who have a ?distinctive style, sense of British eccentricity and enthusiasm?. They should ?dress to impress,? he adds.

Each portrait will cost £50 with profits from the project going to Oxfam, say organisers.

Those who are accepted to take part will be invited to the Rankin Live! exhibition at London?s Truman Brewery in August where they will sit for their personal portrait.

Pictures produced on the day will be hung as part of the ?ever-changing exhibition? and uploaded onto a dedicated website.

To take part, applicants must email rankinlive@rankin.co.uk, and include a photo of themselves.
