Canon has launched a global search for a top female photojournalist.
Canon France has joined forces with the French Association des Femmes Journalistes to launch the Canon Female Photojournalist Award 2011.
Up for grabs is an ?8,000 grant towards a photography project.
The results will be announced at the Visa pour L?Image-Perpignan Festival to be held in France later this year.
Entrants will be judged on presentation of their project and previous work.
Photographic quality and relevance of the chosen subject are among the selection criteria.
