Canon has today announced the EOS-1D Mark III, a 10.1-million-pixel digital SLR designed to replace the EOS-1D Mark II N. Billed as the ‘world’s fastest’ DSLR, the newcomer is claimed to shoot at up to 10 frames per second, for a series of up to 110 frames (JPEG). Key features include a 3in LCD screen with ‘Live view’ mode, a new AF system and an equivalent ISO sensitivity range of between 100-3200 (expandable to ISO 6400).
