The contest runs alongside the British Red Cross Humanitarian Awards 2016, which is designed to recognise young people who have helped in their local communities and beyond.

The photo competition carries the theme ‘making a difference matters’ and will be judged by a panel of experts from Canon.

For the first time, the contest includes a video category.

Prizes will be awarded in two age categories: 17 and under; and 18-25.

The closing date is 7 August 2016 and winners will be announced in the House of Commons in November.

Full details are due to be posted shortly at https://redcross.org.uk/hca
