Photo retailer Calumet has announced details of courses it is planning to run over the coming weeks at its stores around the UK.

Wednesday 23 March (Bristol)
Using Adobe Lightroom and the simple Epson SureColour SC-P600, this workshop teaches photographers how to create great-looking prints with minimal fuss and simple, affordable materials. Attendees are welcome to bring their own images to be processed and the day will end with a Q&A session.
• Macro ‘Mini Beast’ Introduction Sessions (£69)

This half-day session will cover a variety of topics including the choice and use of macro lenses, keeping things in focus and managing movement with shutter speeds. Attendees will get the chance to be hands-on to capture their own images of great close-up subjects brought along especially for the day. Ideally suited for photographers using DSLR cameras.

Suitable for all camera users, this exclusive workshop aims to perfect and enhance photography and DSLR video skills in a relaxed and informal one-to-one session. The day will consist of identifying the key procedures that will make instant improvements to the photographer’s skillset in photography or video. It is suitable for both complete beginners as well as more seasoned professionals, and the trainee will also get a free one-hour webinar as follow-up.
• Bowens and Profoto Lighting Masterclass (£125)

Suitable for all levels of photographer, this workshop is for anyone who wishes to start taking HD video using a Nikon or Canon DSLR for commercial use or pleasure. The workshop will work through good camera setup to ensure it’s all correct right from the start, then onto skill-building and technical ability through real shooting.

This hands-on workshop will demonstrate the use of different lighting techniques to create classic glamour and boudoir images. Attendees will get the chance to work on a one-to-one basis with a top model whilst under the guidance of Jon Gray. The day will finish with a brief Q&A.
