Britain’s worst photographer has been named as Stuart McGhee, who took a spectacularly poor-quality image of his ‘glowing baby’ daughter.

Stuart beat hundreds of entries in the awards, which were a PR stunt dreamt up by event organisers Red Cloud Days.

The winning image – which features Stuart’s daughter Jasmine – proved to be ‘incompetent on so many levels’, said Red Cloud Days founder Lee Bown.

Commenting on his dubious accolade Stuart said: ‘Friends and family already see me as a bad photographer – this makes it official.’

Stuart’s prize is a Red Cloud Days portrait and lighting photography course.
