Sangers Limited ? which imports and distributes photography gear by brands such as Cosina, Tokina and Tamrac – has gone into administration. The company is continuing to trade and has been put up for sale.

We can reveal that the Birmingham-based firm called in the administrators, PricewaterhouseCoopers, on Monday.

Jenny Britton from PricewaterhouseCoopers? Business Recovery Services told AP: ?The administrators are continuing to trade while they look for a buyer for the business.?

Other names represented by the brand in the UK include Delkin Devices and Sealife. Sangers also distributes the Epson R-D1, the world?s first digital rangefinder camera.

Last year Sangers Ltd had a turnover of £20m.

Prisma Europe Ltd, a division of the Sangers group, has also gone into administration.

Sangers and Prisma Europe employ a total of 54 people.

Prisma Europe distributes professional AV and broadcast television equipment.
