Amateur Photographer Editor Damien Demolder is set to host two, free-to-attend, workshops at the Jessops store in Birmingham on Sunday 10 November, in association with Pentax.
Damien will deliver a talk on street photography at 11.30am, and a workshop on portraits using natural light, at 2.30pm the same day.
Commenting on the street photography session, Damien said that an appreciation of light is central to all exciting photography.
He will explain how he uses direct sunlight, overcast days and the orange glow of streetlight bulbs to draw attention to the subject, and to create artistic and visually arresting images.
Damien will talk about the equipment he uses, and suggest ways participants can use their own kit to get first-class results.
The portrait session will involve taking a group of photographers outside, with a model, to learn simple, but effective, lighting techniques. A range of Pentax equipment will be available to use during this session, and Damien will provide instruction on the best settings and lenses to use on the day.
