AP’s art editor chooses his favourite reader image from the past week’s uploads to our Reader Gallery.

Again I found myself torn between two images this week. However, because they were by the same photographer, thelearningcurvephoto, I felt my decision was a little easier than in the past.

Conscious that I appeared to be favouring abstracts, as much as I loved the composition and reflection of ‘Ashbridges Bay Toronto Canada Breakwall’ I chose ‘Backyard Flowers In Black And White 13’.

I particularly like the fact that the sunflower is not a perfect shop-bought specimen, and that being shown in black & white emphasises its tones and imperfections. As it’s part of a series, I’d be interested to see more.
