    We have a street photography competition coming up this week, but I didn't have much to enter, so went out yesterday and got this.

    Seems a bit dark to me. If the theme is yellow then you've done quite well. I'd play with the saturation/hue on the tower crane so that it is less orange and closer to the other yellows.

    Thanks Pete. I need to sort out my monitors. on one monitor it looks quite dark to me, but on another it's much brighter. It is brighter on my phone, but the print came out quite dark.

    Agree with Pete, but every pixel you go beyond this crop is weakening the idea:

    I reprinted it and it looks much better.

    I really like the original. There is plenty of context, the red car seems to balance the yellow and the increased background adds to the ‘street’ feel.

    Really needed a step to the right and a twist to the left to open it up and make more of the yellows and less of the backdrop
