That 15mm price is more than I originally paid for it!! Anyway - all the new kit has arrived, just attempting to figure out some of the applications.
Will do Jack, assuming it stops raining. At least I'll have a few days to figure it out. Things don't seem too natural with at the moment, but I guess 20 years of Eos use will confuse me a bit.
Oh, come on, Steve, I don't mind shooting when it's raining, I just prefer the snow ... as for the Fuji ... just A, A and A Cheers, Jack
Sorry sir. From Kr to Xt-10 and 18-55. At £700 for the pair, I couldn't not buy it. Still have the Pentax kit, though my neighbour asked if she could borrow the camera and a lens, then promptly ended up bedridden for the last ten weeks... I may get it back some day. S
I hope your neighbour gets better, Steve, and if I were to step down to Fuji .... it would be the X100F which would (kinda) be like having an X-Pro2 w/ the 23, 35 and 50/2 lenses Cheers, Jack
I was talking to a customer on Tuesday who was considering moving from Canon (7D x 2 and 80D and assorted lenses) and, upon request, showed her the XT-2 and, initially, didn't like the small grip nor the electronic viewfinder .... but 30 minutes later loved the grip and, relative, lightness of the kit and the fact that she could see her image before taking the photo She, also, loved the aperture ring on the 23/2 and loved the fall back of the Treble A's Cheers, Jack
I'm still undecided on the EVF or the optical with crop lines - but it's nice to have both! Hopefully as I'm off over the next few days I'll get out a bit more. There's only so many shots of my desk and monitor I can take!
Could be worse, Steve, you could be a Leica shooter and "just" take photos of door frames and/or salt/pepper shakers .... Cheers, Jack
I should read the manual at some point!! Yes, I have met that type. A bit like my cousin who bought high end stereo equipment and listened to effects CDs rather than music.
There is that tendency with a proportion who are into expensive hi-fi, alas few of them end up really enjoying music.
Spent a few hours underneath Spaghetti Junction on my first real test - light was a bit harsh to be honest, but overall happy with what the has turned out. I've not played around with the images yet - these are straight off the camera.
A cool selection of photo, Stephen and, as more than a few customers/friends who are Fuji users say, "the jpegs straight out of the camera(s) are great" and a few have stopped shooting RAW Cheers, Jack
I didn't feel brave enough to submit the Jpegs just yet (didn't want to be put on their naughty step) - but I did process the raws (to Jpegs) and submitted them last night and they passed QC this morning Also my trade in for some of my old Eos kit was accepted and £1,500 should be on it's way soon. So that's the majority of the Fuji kit paid for!
