Where's RonM? I would've thought he'd of been one of the first people to get the D7D. Was looking forward to seeing some pictures and hearing about the camera. K-M D7D's under a grand Haven't got one just yet Fen, it's been a bad year finance wise and the pot of savings is a tad bare at present, plus the flexible friend has been coming to the rescue too many times, so I think it will be (hopefully early) next year when I'll get my hands on mine/img/wwwthreads/smile.gif, plus the price may have come down to somewhat more realistic levels after crimble, mind I note that you can get a D7D for under a grand from Warehouse Express, so the price is going in the right direction/img/wwwthreads/smile.gif (well I am a canny Scot ye ken!) <font color=blue>Ron CRIPN</font color=blue> Everyone has a photographic memory. Today I've been experimenting with all sorts of lenses (such as binocular objectives) taped and generally 'cobbled' into place. I am trying to achieve magnifications of 5 times and above. Re: They're heeeeeeeeeeeeeeere......The K-M 7D's have Well I got my 7D last week and am well pleased with it. Jessops do it on a year's interest free which is worth a thought if you know you're good at repaying interest free deals within the due date. I got it body only as I already had 28mm and 50mm Minolta AF lens - the magnification factor makes them like a standard lens and portrait lens respectively. Needless to say the weather has been dull as ditchwater since I got it what with the clouds and shortest days of the year. It feels heavy compared to my old Dynax 5, but I like heavy cameras - not sure how the weight compares to the film version. I'll try and write more and link to some pictures later. The main thing that struck me is the lack of CCD noise when photographing in very dull situations. The anti-shake system is also very good allowing you to balance low ambient light with fill flash. Smaller viewfinder view due to smaller mirror takes a little getting used to. Retains, as far as I can see, all the manual switches that are on the D7 film version. Very few functions are menu driven which is nice.

Morning Graham, It was the same way with me when I received my IST*Ds, the antithesis of your camera sizewise/img/wwwthreads/wink.gif, but just wait til you have a sunny day (off) or lunch break and, if you are like me, you will start shooting like a madman.
