Have you listened to much of their new stuff? Marbles, Brave and Anoraknophobia are all excellent albums full of power, emotion and feeling with great guitar riffs and beautiful arrangements. Steve Hogarth is a great vocalist.

Hi Peter. Tis a great magazine. Also there's Think a superb quarterly journal edited by Stephen Law (which turns out to be our very own norman's nephew!) and sponsored by the Royal Institute, which has some really good articles, including many written by the so-called "big names"as well as newbies, but is down to earth, written really clearly and introduces new ideas to get you started without going too far into pedantic mode. There's also Philosophy Now run by Rick Lewis, and Anja Steinbauer who also runs Kant's Cave if you happen to be in London. So where did you study philosophy? I did two years at Birkbeck but ended up leaving for various reasons, including the one that a 3 year degree doesnt fit into a 4 year evening class Now Ive buggered off back to art college

Hi Erm I studied Philosophy and Theology in the Netherlands, which was a great place to study. Thanks for all the links, i will have a good look at them later. Since my daughter started A level philosophy i have been trying to remember all sorts of stuff which has been good fun - philosphy is a great subject, i really believe it should be taught in all schools at GCSE level. Where are you studying Art? I am toying with the idea of going back to even more study. I thought i had done enough, but this time it may be something in the area of photography. peter
