The AF portion of the Sony A700/A850/A900 MakerNotes, extracted using ExifTool and the GUI:- The AFStatusCentreF2-8 is OOF because the lens only opens up to f:3.5. The data are from a square-on shot of a flat(ish) stone wall. My question is simple - does anybody know if there is any way to use these data to set a micro-adjust value for the lens? I suspect not, as the camera thinks it is in focus already, but it would be awfully nice to be able to calculate the adjustment from the EXIF. The problem is that I don't know what the numbers are in relation to the -20 to +20 micro-adjust values. I am sure Sony is not the only one to record OOF value in the EXIF data, which is why I have not posted it in the Sony thread.
