I grew those in Hillingdon. They just got on with it, the same as a wonderful scented Jasmine I had. They were rampant!
Looking in boxes and drawers yesterday. I came across this ring, which I suspect my brother gave me years ago. He was an avid metal detector. He wrote a few books and helped out on time team on occasion. I assume this was thought not to be significant. However, I do like to think it was lost by a Viking ancestor. If anyone else is knowledgeable about these things, I'd love to hear your thoughts.

Got a new DAB radio for the kitchen. Weird. At 2pm it starts to burble. Switch it off ond on and it's OK. However, I have found that Radio4 FM is much clearer, so I'm wondering which mast it tuned to when I set it up. Perhaps I'll take it upstairs and retune! Ha!
https://finds.org.uk/database/artefacts/record/id/967768 Amazing what you can spot with a prepared eye - this cropped up on my neighbour's allotment when I was surreptitiously removing some rubbish I'd accidentally thrown there. Adrian
Mind you, I'm going to have to invest in a better macro set up than my old G10 if I'm going to keep reporting them... Adrian
Cheeky bar steward! I'll have you know it's a ten pole plot, we've finally got with the 12th century and adopted Imperial measurements. Adrian
I bumped into this lady when I was out taking a few shots today. To be honest I don't think she knew much about photography - all the gear, no idea.
That's true, getting two folk in a shot with things growing out of their heads was quite an achievment for her.
It's nice to see that some youngsters still get out and get involved. These air cadets were helping out at Sidmouth Air Show on Friday by collecting donations towards next year's show...
Excellent, Steve! Nice to see that you got a good number of occupants. I made a Bee Hotel ready for Springtime this year. It was constructed (and sited) in full accordance with recommendations, but sadly, the take-up wasn't great. To rub salt in the wounds, our neighbours had a 'full house'. Maybe we got bad reviews on Trip Advisor.
