I've been playing around with some old photographs and a fractal generator.

You can get some really interesting images...

Three fine examples of fractals. I like them especially the first.

Thanks Dave. Glad to have expanded your interests :)

Probably not. It's digital art with the use of an original photograph ;)

Cheers Mike. The wolf is my favourite as well.

Just finished working on some more of these and will post a few later.

I like them. I don't know anything about fractal generators though - how much input do you get to have on these?

Fen, I couldn't resist the opportunity to reverse the standard question. Where's Brian Sewell when there's something good that's photographic to be seen ;) and discussed? One thing about these images is that they are writing with light, albeit in a digital way. Cheers, Oly

Thanks Geren. You have a reasonable amount of control... you can adjust line lengths and thickness's, the spread of the fractal pattern, the intensity of the colour, the brightness, the direction of light, the depth of the background and the complexity of the shading. This is for two different sets of patterns, so you can vary the result quite a lot.

    Don't blame you :)
If I thought you were being serious I would've written a long and probably long-winded reply that rabbited on about nothing in particular! *rofl*

They have a very spooky look to them, something that would fit with the titles for a good fantasy production like the lamented Hex. In fact, they should have hired you to do the titles; they might have got to make the third series!

Yep! That would do it. Another 13 episodes I reckon.

    :D
