Last Friday (March 12th), a young lady with a Leica M3 and some old git, who was taking a snap with a film camera, had his photo taken by Fuji GFXs w/ a 23 mm lens ;)

In my opinion, the best ever Leica because they got the viewfinder just right.

It's a chrome MX with black top plate, I can confirm because I met up with Jack at 4:30 PM today.

Actually, Steve, it's a Panda MX ... I found a black top bit for it, but,
it still has a silver bottom  ... ;)

You keep saying that. With any luck, it'll drive M3 prices down to the point I feel justified in buyng another! :p

No chance, it'll just drive the III prices up.

The body is the Pentax S1 of 1961-64, no self-timer. Predecessor to the later Asahi Pentax Spotmatic 500 and 1000.

Maybe not. If the shutter's gone, it would cost a lot more than it's worth to fix and this way someone can put it on the mantlepiece and admire it! :D

Well, employees used to get a timepiece when they retired ...
You could attach the clock with a body cap if it's still working.

My last workplace gave out mirrors for long service, so you could see what it had done to you....
