Some of these can be quite amusing, let's hear some of your favourites, here's a few to start with

    Smart fella > fart smeller
Weather forecast > feather war cast
Bearing up under the strain > straining up under the bear -or- Staring up under the brain?
Dear old Queen > Queer old dean
Keen as mustard > mean as custard
Block of flats > flock of bats

Does Gatport Airwick fall into this category?

It is deliberate rather than a spoonerism but in our household we use chish&fips when discussing whether to get a take-away.

When I was a kid, we would sometimes stop at a fish & chip shop in Leatherhead called Chish & Fips if we were heading home late and dad didn't want mum to be up late cooking dinner

    Another Terry Wogan fan?

Nothing to do with Wogan, we were using the term before he was, along with a few others.

I've always been keen on 'Flutter bys' but I rarely manage to photograph them well.

That is because they flutter by!

It was actually the late, great, under-rated Ray Moore who I first heard using this reference

We won't mention Kenney Everett's trick played by the god of love

    RovingMike Crucifixion's a doddle...

Not him either. It was a fave of that early morning DJ Ray Moore, who died of throat cancer way back. He had several others.

Whoops too late on the button there.
