Not forgotten. We are on holiday so there will be a slight delay. Should announce the result this evening.

This is a first for me having to judge an artistic competition but most enjoyable. Thanks to everyone who entered, some were particularly prolific. As always the quality of the photography was excellent.

    My favourites were:

    several by Keith Hudson

21 Any colour you like - Dark Side of the moon- Catriona

42 Life in a Northern Town - Dream Academy - Dream Police

135 Road to Nowhere - Talking Heads DreamPolice

142 Hello - Lionel Richie - Dream Police

167 The Bell Song - Lakmé - Roving Mike

194 Under African Skies - Paul Simon - RovingMike

    221 I'm just a lonely boy - Paul Anka - RovingMike

However, the one that struck a chord and wins is:

Under African Skies - Paul Simon

Great photo, matched the song title and reminded me of a very enjoyable holiday several years ago.

    Well done Mike.

Thanks all. I'll think on it, but if anyone has any requests for next theme, do say.

I've got a few megabytes of folk dancing, others probably have other dance forms, ballet, ballroom etc; I've also lots of roses and other garden subjects. However mine are nearly all archive, at 87 I don't get out so much.

If it had me me, I was thinking of smoke and mirrors. Mysteries to solve. Representing current state!

Nice thought, but not sure what wide appeal it might have. I'm thinking of Looking Up - with camera angled appreciably upwards. Can lead to interesting things. Have we had that?

With my neck, looking down would be preferred! Actually my camera went through a hiccup the other day and didn't like being tilted. Hope it has gotten over it.
I'm afraid I always go for the more creative line adding questions to be answered. Is it real or what is it? But that's just me. I accept that most would probably like more straightforward Street or landscape, or colours! On that score, I did fancy suggesting following Eggleston. Making the mundane and usual interesting in form and colour.

Interesting, but I think also very minority appeal. I sympathise with the neck thing, having a really bad one myself, but these days of fold-out screens, I'm sure it can be overcome.
