I'm reading elsewhere that Frances Schultz, Roger Hicks' widow as well as a photographer and author in her own right, has died as well.

Oh my. How sad. Any idea if she stayed in France? That's awful.

TBH I spotted it quite by chance, but I thought there were people here who should know.

    RIP Frances.

Kind-of fitting that she passed away in Chinon (according to the linked article)... I wonder how many places in France are named after camera manufacturers?

Francis and Roger have over the years contributed a lot of material on a number of different websites that will undoubtedly be pored over by photographers for many years to come. RIP Francis.

Funny, I was just wondering how she was getting on as I was driving home tonight.

    RIP Frances.

That's sad. I was more aware of Roger than Frances, as I suppose many of us were, and Roger often mentioned her. He clearly loved her immensely. Frances didn't quite blow her trumpet like Roger, but she was certainly a photographer in her own right.
I hope that AP does more than just a short obit. Both of them deserve a full article in their own right plus one as a couple.

Strangely, yesterday lunchtime, I was sitting in my car waiting for an appointment at my doctor's surgery (they make you do this at the moment). I was passing the time looking at my phone's internet bookmarks and for some random reason clicked on 'Roger and Frances' home page which I’d saved years ago. I remember looking at a picture of Frances particularly and briefly wondered to myself how she might be faring following Roger's demise.

Sad day indeed. But at least neither had to linger.
