Apparently when you mention Dallas many people think of Texas. No idea what they think when you mention Auchtertool and Puddledub.

Once in a while I cycle past a signpost pointing to Nova Scotia, must make a detour one day.

Aside from having Jerocho and Mesopotamia within it's bounds, there's also a Nineveh near Oxford.

I used to drive past there regularly. Is there still a nearby speed camera?

The missus thinks so, yes. There's certainly one in Nuneham Courtenay.

From the domesday book Piddletrenthide = thirty hides of land on the river Piddle.

Just got a nice roast beef and horseradish baguette from Waitrose for free.
Bought a loaf of bread and a couple of other things, then at the checkout the lady serving me asked if I would like one of the baguettes. Makes far more sense than throwing excess away, and made me smile.

Just read that Asda have slashed free from prices so there's no longer a price penalty for food intolerances.

And Asda is now British owned - from last week, I think.

So lets see them drop Germanic pig meat.
After the end of December it might be economical to do so.
