A few of my favourites that possibly fit the theme... From a scanned Kodachrome slide c. 1995 - two classic vehicles. This last image has been digitally 'retouched' to remove 'passengers' in the cab, to remove the overhead cable warning signs from the back of the tender (not on this locomotive when originally in this livery), and to change the coach colours from brown and cream to the 'blood and custard' livery that is more correct for the late 1940s livery of the locomotive (much fun had with an old copy of Photoshop Elements).
GWR purists will line up to stone me, but I do think that King Ted looks rather good in Caledonian Blue.
