I always think fungus will make a great photo - so far I've not yet delivered on that. Not long after I got the camera, I still didn't appreciate that slow shutter speeds and 250mm focal lengths didn't mix. A little bit later, but just another record. My last couple of shots of fungus.
Grey by gray1720, on Flickr I have others, but all of the ones intended to be shared here are on Photo**cket, and we all know what that means now... Adrian
And mine are suitable for the walls of Princes and Queens. The first one is so blurry it looks like a panning shot gone wrong, the second has white balance issues I can't be bothered to fix because I only have the JPG, I like the 3rd, but there's so little of the fungus in focus it's embarrassing, and the 4th would be okay if I'd tidied the place up before hand, and the bokeh is ugly as all hell. Luckily, this isn't appraisals
I think this is a fungus - saw it near the river last year, but never managed to identify. Any mycologists out there like to give an opinion?
A couple from me. The massed band of them is from the castle grounds. The other is home grown - and left well alone.
There was also this one that I"d forgotten about...I struggled to get anything very sharp on this as I was attempting to balance on a wobbly fallen log that was overhanging the bank down to the burn below with no convenient branches or anything to hold on to. I have about ten photographs of same thing all with varying degrees of no focus. This was the best of a bad lot. shortly after that my glasses went for a swim and I gave up.
