He's no worse than anyone else who has represnted GB/UK in Eurovision and a damned sight better than most.

"Please release me, let me go", or at least avoid watching the thing. Something I normally do quite efficiently.

The Eurovision Song Contest has been a sick joke for a long time ... remember the Monty Python send-up (Sgt Duckie's Song) and the period when Ireland won every year as a sick punishment for some unknown crime ...

Mmm, a bit of an old has been representing the UK... I wonder what Dr Freud would make of that. ;)

Bearing in mind some of the previous entrants, he has to be an improvement. Like the type of music he does, or not, at least he can sing.

Usually nowadays we field a never was, never will be.

May actually be quite good tactics as he is still very popular in some other European countries. Believe it or not!!

Won't makie a blind bit of difference.

Voting's been political for years, everyone votes for their friends, and we ain't got any:(

Can't be any worse than recent UK entrants, provided he can still hold a note! I believe he still performs in Las Vegas at the same sort of venues as Tom Jones (perhaps they already asked him and he declined?!)

We only watch Eurovision from the start of the voting results, because that's the part that provides the entertainment. We usually get about 90% of the friendly countries' top votes for their allies right (Turkey/Cyprus .. that sort of thing!)

Just home here again after a gaps years, I am still plum tuckered out BUT
you lot got your old photy and HMRC have been nice to me after my mea culpa and much writings so I might get my penalty cheques returned.......so life is not all bad, but tiring.

When I heard old Edelweiss was there having saved me from the Irish survivor what's his name
yes, my first thought was is he still alive? , not that I care. Just checking which of us are left.........

I long since grew out of the E S C since they became cloned. But tell me, an innocent, what is behind the choice ?
We know the crumblies have all the money but what will they spend it on that will justify the choice??

We see what's in it for him .......

I don't like thinking this but
a Frenchman who did it for me 40 years ago is currently touring France and cooking on TV
...I loved his Îles flottants he cooked chez Maman on TV in black and Blonk (as the English say) decades ago
...I suspect so he can sway another young woman to marry him (I won't have a word said against his food! ).

Long married Angel-bright humped-cattle might have similar ideas...it's not cheap! Tom Jones could give them a tip or two :)
This is not worth previewing...off it goes ...I'm gasping

Blimey Janice, hitting the preview button might have helped a bit, but I think I got most of what you said, so your time wasn't entirely wasted!

Seems like a fair surmise, IMO, and one with which I concur and support. :)
