    Not that it makes any difference. Just noticed it today but probably didn't happen today...just a wee battle scar:).

    Looks like there are a few tea or coffee stains there as well!

    Suspect the stains are mud splatters from dogs shaking themselves dry.

    That's the trouble with light colours - they show every bit of dirt. If the lens was black or dark grey you probably wouldn't have noticed.

    If the scratch or crack is on the outer surface, would the stuff used to repair small stone chips on car windscreens work on it?

    Not sure I'll risk making more of a mess trying it but it's an interesting idea.

    Looks like replacement bits are available though....
