    Night Sky, Riddlesdown

Lots of stars in the bigger version, but most of these have been lost in the downsizing :-(

The start of a very long day...

On my way to Rochester this morning (you don't want to know how long it took me to get there...).
Somebody's garden fence caught fire a little while ago - they just put a new one behind the burnt out one. I like the shapes, and have been meaning to take a picture of it for some time.

Nikon Coolpix 775, around 7 this morning, on my way to work.

    Short Journey?

To the surgery at about 2 p.m. today (Oct 1st 2008) for the last examination before ending the post-procedure medication that I have been taking for the last year - passing (it's right next door to the surgery) the home of the vehicle in which I rode at the start of the business.

My new raised bed for veg. We have such thin sandy soil overlying a levelled limestone quarry that I have stopped fighting it and imported 3 tonnes of good topsoil into a raised bed. First crop - overwintered Japanese onions.

    1st October 12-60mm on an 82% camera

    5am rise

First 5am rise this term to get to college. This shot wasn't taken til 06:01 - I was still feeling like death though, even after three coffees. Poked my head through the curtains and shot this, it really was my First View of the Outside World this month. I intended to grab something more descriptive of my day later, but didn't get the oppportunity. I'm not looking forward to another six months of mornings like this.
