I'm surprised I've not seen any mention of this product yet here .
Sony has just announced a replacement adapter for their E-mount cameras .
Sony / Minolta A mount lenses ( SLR/DSLR lenses ) to E-mount mirrorless cameras were via the LA-EA1 or 3 for lenses with inbuilt motors 9 SSM & SAM ) .
The LA-EA2 & 4 was needed for lenses without a built in motor and were focussed by the unit itself .
The down side was a loss of light due to the pellicle mirror ( or SLT as Sony called it ) and you only had an AF unit from the ten year old SLT , the a55 .
With new cameras having OSPDAF they've come out with an adapter that can focus both types of lenses , without the separate system of the SLT AF unit .
The downside , at the moment , it's only fully compatible with two cameras (!) , but expect more to be added via firmware updates .
