I thought that was a sector of the business that isn't doing well. The reaction of the Pentax community to this will be massively underwhelmed. Let's hope the next announcement will show something more innovative.

It's the all-important hyphen that makes the difference!

Fuji are also at it with the X-E2. :)

Be fair, there are only 26 letters and only so many ways to arrange them without them being actual words, so it was just a matter of time until it happened.

Much better this than using unpronounceable symbols like the *ist ;) Astericks-ist???

I'm looking forward to the day they just give up and reveal the shiny new BU-M or let rip wig the revolutionary new F4R-t concept.

Is this why Renault and Citroen resort to numbers?

Pentax go K-10....K-20.....K-7......K-5......K-5ii.....K-5iis......K-3. Is this logical? Where do they go after the K-1?

Perhaps we will see a totally new concept such as Pro K-1....Pro K-2?

    Fun innit?

At least the XG-1 is priced attractively. But what size sensor?

The D810 looks even more attractive.......not bothered about the name.

I call my K-5+Battery grip 'The Brick', except I think it is even heavier!:) But I love it really.

Yes, I agree. I don't think this will replace my GXR. When do we get a FF dslr please. Goodness knows, how much longer do they expect us to stay with the brand? Especially as PENTAX is no longer a make, but just a brand.

Underwhelming is a bit of an understatement, F_R, and, IMHO, if they want(ed)
to make some impact in the "bridge" dept, they should have priced it so, in
Canada at least, it would come in under $300 :) Mind you, I am really interested in getting one of these to have a fiddle with as it might make a nice "summer time" walkabout camera :)

I've been thinking about this too hard - I woke up this morning and thought:

There have been so many Olympus Pen models, there must have been...

    ...a PEN15 ...

And there was, the Pen EE-D in film from '67. We are only at model 10 with digital Pen, but it is only a matter of time before you can get your hands on an Olympus Pen15.

I just have to lower the tone, don't I?
