I'm sure we've had this on here before, (possibly purloined from Web User many years ago) but I can't find it, so...

Set your media/MP3 player/iPod/iTunes/Spotify/Last.fm/etc. player to random play and note the first (or next) 10 tracks.

It's akin to the 'What are you listening to now' thread, with the exception that it places 10 consecutive tracks in a single post displaying the diversity, or otherwise, of the users musical tastes...

Whether you have a selected playlist running (maybe name the playlist), or choose all of what's available is up to you (and makes for any number of posts from each contributor).

Equally there's nothing stopping you from editing out the likes of The Proclaimers, or Black Lace - tracks you're rather fond of, but too embarrassed to admit to owning - but honesty would be appreciated, I'm sure.

Incidentally, if you are so inclined you could link to the track(s) elsewhere (e.g YouTube) for the listening pleasure of others.

Whilst there's room for comments, it's not just lists, please keep it on-topic'...

Spotify on random is bringing me:

    Flash by Queen
    Surrender to Me by Boston
    My Melancholy Blues by Queen
    Long Away by Queen
Out in the Street by UFO
The Millionaire Waltz by Queen (I'm beginning to doubt how random this is!)
Rat Bat Blue by Deep Purple
Pray for the Day by Magnum
Dial M for Murder by Blue Oyster Cult

Which is great, as most of those tracks aren't on my iPod (which mostly provides car music).
