For this month of May, the introduction to summer for most of us, my thoughts turn from the dark to the light. Your theme for this month is a wide one.

All things bright and beautiful, all creatures great and small.

So whatever you turn to that is bright and brightens up your day, is a contender. It might be something in your home, or in your garden or you might see when outside at work or on your exercise or shopping outing. Be it large or be it small, so long as it brings cheer and lightness in our day, then it's fine.

One or two from me as a starter.

Nice cheerful subject, thanks. I hope it's OK to use recently displayed images but if so here is my attempt at the line "All creatures great and small" at times like these we need to concentrate on new life.

On the recent death of Jack Schofield I dug out the old mags with my articles that I produced for him. Also in the box were some old prints including this one of my first model, "Linda". She was very bright having won scholarship to a good public school and a wonderful model. you could not make a bad photograph of her.

Never understood the attraction of those. I mean they look bad enough on their own but fill with salt beef and frankly you're not hungry any more! (Were these on Brick Lane by any chance?)

You lucky thing. Mine are blooming but the blooms are very small, although the foliage is quite happy, glossy and green. Still, I enjoy them. Yours os gorgeous!
