Short and sweet this will be....I have a Nikon F80 and a sigma 28 - 80 APO doo-dah whatsit and now finding that this is inadequate for my needs. I now need a longer range lens (70 - 300) and was wondering what you guys may suggest...I'm working on a budget of about £150 or there abouts...come on then don't hang about get typing..!
    Thanks very much!

    Hmmm...how about Sigma's 70-300/4-5.6DL Macro c£170
reasonably good write up in PP, less good at 300mm they say
There's also competition from Cosina, Vivitar (prob same lens rebadged), and Soligor ( all inferior by a stretch) but if you can push the budget there's a Tamron 70-300 at £265 & a Tamron 100-300/5-6.3 at £180. Other than that there's the used market-don't despise it.

    Have fun ;-)

    Get out and get shooting!!
