Spring lambs by Mockerkin Tarn. 17:41, 1/5/09

Nice morning but got things to do. (Picture of my porridge? No.)
Rush out to take my old mum out for lunch. On the way it starts to rain and blow. (Pic of rain? Now that is a Cumbrian cliché.)
Help Mum get ready. (Pic of Mum’s bent arthritic hands? Maybe another time.)
We meet my sister for her lunch break. (Pic of my ham and pickle on brown? Oops, I just ate it.)
Back at Mum’s, doze off and wake up during Countdown. (Pic of Carol Vorderman? She’s not there now.)
Back in the sun-glasses on my way home. Stop for a pee in the layby. (No! I wouldn’t dare do that to you; at least not on the first date! OK. Don’t step in the wet patch! Poke my camera over the wall instead.)
AP’s in the letter box when I get home. (Guess what I’m doing this evening.)
Aaah! It’s gone midnight and I almost forgot! Am I too late?

It’s the north end of Mockerkin Tarn (N54.5956 W3.42080). Little woolly spring blobs in the field beyond; looking ESE so I think that’s the south slope of Mockerkin How on the left, and a lump of Owsen Fell at the back. (How many umpteen years have I lived here, and I had to look it up!) There was a Grebe but it kept diving out of shot.

Taken with my wife's Lumix yesterday whilst walking in Lorton Vale. (Mayflowers - quite appropriate, I thought)

I decided to take a day off to go and watch the motor racing at Brands Hatch. My first time photographing racing with my K20D and I'm chuffed with the results... :D
