Very like Movie Lines, someone quotes a line from a song, and the person correctly identifying the artist and song gets the next go.

So fairly easy one: "You got your ass out of gear and your soul out of whack".

I'm sure nobody in the games room would EVER do that, Nick ;)

Well I had to cheat to find out where those lyrics came from so I won't be posting the answer.
I personally would say that that's not particularly easy but I'm willing to be proven wrong. :)

As a well known TV quiz master has said, they're only easy if you know them. I also had to google it, and as I've never, to my knowledge, even heard that track I'm also gonna leave it. ;) /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Well I recognised it but couldn`t place it so I too googled.
I do have the album it`s on though.

Reckon I'll kill this turkey off before the thread dies! It's from some song off Meat Loaf's Deadringer album. Easy if you're a Meat fan (though neither person who's confessed to owning the record knew the answer!), but hardly if only of casual or no interest.

Here's a proper relatively easy one

"I drive a Rolls Royce, cos it's good for my voice"

Children Of The Revolution by T Rex.

    Lyric:
'My Maserati does one eighty five. I lost my licence, now I don't drive.'

You might want to put a time limit on it and what happens if an answer is left hanging, without confirmation of being correct/incorrect... as happened in the Movie Lines game (which ended up as a free for all). No names, no pack-drill... TIM!! ;) :)

Or, is it taken as read that if you answer you're right, and haven't misremembered?

That`s an easy one for me.

    Life`s been good-Joe Walsh(The Eagles)from the album"But seriously Folks"

    Try this one:

"You know I'm free, free now baby
    I'm free from your spell"

A line like that could be from a myriad of songs, but I'm hoping you're thinking of

The Thrill Is Gone by BB King

    Correct Tim :D

Yup, the guy's a legend. Some people put him down, seemingly because his music isn't like that of Muddy Waters or Howling Wolf, which seems bizarre to me.

    Anyway, next up is

"WC Handy I'm rich and I'm fay
And I'm not familiar with what you played"

Not a clue on that one Tim.

BTW,the Meatloaf track was I`ll kill you if you don`t come back.

Don't know either, but I googled it and got the answer (I hope). But I'm not going to post it. Instead I suggest that if no answer has been posted after a week, then the original poster gives the answer and posts another lyric.
Also, may I sugest that lyrics are kept to songs we might have heard of? :D

I'll give you a clue then. One of the premier females of the late sixties and seventies.

Can I suggest we make that two or three days or else the thread will die on its backside? :)
