I wish to purchase some simple lighting gear and would like to start of with just one light & brolly set up. I have a few cannon eos bodies and only have around 100-200 to spend. Does anybody know of a fairly good quality setup to get me on my way. Thanks

Check out the E-Bay auction site before 4/5/00. There is a Jessops studio outfit on offer.

    Try searching on 'ebay.co.uk'.
If you still can't find the site search on 'auctions', failing that - contact me at clivekenyon@hotmail.com and I'll send you the advert.

I checked out available lighting equipment a couple of years ago and if you want something that's going to last then Bowens lights are definately far better than Jessops or Courtney. Yes they are pricey but if you hunt the second hand pages you may get something in your price range. I know someone who is still using some 30 year old Bowens kit.
