great set of shots...what a busy day...but loads of fun I bet
John I think I am going off this forum (the tech setup side, not the people here), I stayed up until gone 3am last night selecting and posting photos to this thread for all to hopefull enjoy and this morning my post has gone!!
None were bigger than 600px and none were anywhere near 100k in size either.
I can't find any messages to me from any mods telling me whats happened either - Grrrr!!!
As I don't have that sort of time to waste again (and could do with more sleep). I'll post them elsewhere during the day and provide a link.
That's because none of the Mods have done anything to your posts!
You've made three posts this month, all in the Exhibition area:
Re: Lands End Trial (12<100kb)- 14/04/2009 10:49
Re: Wheal Coates Tin Mine (5 pics <100Kb) - 13/04/2009 00:39
Re: Lands End Trial (12<100kb) - 13/04/2009 00:34
There are no posts from you in the deleted area, or anywhere else.
I would suggest that you made a mistake. I've been here since just after 1am an haven't seen anything.
Thanks for responding Fen - its much appreciated.
...As you can imagine I felt gutted this morning. Last night I previewed my post and it semed fine except for one typo which I corrected then pressed the go button!
Adrian sorry to hear you have been having trouble, I am sure they will get you sorted. At times the software can be a little quirky (half the time I am not sure if it is my ancient router dropping out, or the service, then again, it could just be me having yet another of those increasingly regular senior moments!!!) but it is worth persevering with!!! I am looking forward to seeing the pictures...
Re: Lands End Trial (18<100kb)
Lands End Trial 2009 & Wheal Coates near St. Agnes.
It was great to get out with my camera/s over Easter and head down to Cornwall with a few like minded friends to photograph a classic - and historic - motoring trial called 'The Lands End Trial' and also to take in some great archaeological scenery in the shape of Wheal Coates, nr St Agnes.
The cars photos were all taken with a Sony A100 & for the Scenery I used my favoured KM A2.
Wheal Coates - a flavour of an old mine pumping house in north west Cornwall.
The Lands End Trial 2009 (which starts all around the UK, but finishes in Cornwall) - these photos
were taken at 2 of the tricky hills the vehicles had to 'try' and ascend! The light was just perfect for the late afternoon shots, but early morning in the dim woods it was another story altogether…
Some of these vintage cars being ‘trashed’ are very rare museum pieces –priceless fun!
Wide slick tyres don’t work well on this road surface – yes it is an old UK road!
These old V-dubs will go just about anywhere – impressive stuff.
The gnarlier the hill, the better the Marlin’s seem to do.
The sea-horizon line isn't quite how it should be here!!
…and I definitely had very serious trouble with my horizon lines with this next photo...
A genuine Model T Ford turned up to watch the fun.
Hanging on with grim determination
H’mmm, the beach was a long way from here!!
This photo is here because I like the car – I want one.
Is that a look of horror on the passengers face?
These guys were obviously pleased to make it to the top-just...
It was so good to get out with the camera properly for some serious enjoyment - and had a great time meeting with the photogs that picked me up and took me out for the day. A special thank you has to go to John Baker (from the AP forum) who kindly did all the hard work running us around.
Great stuff Adrian
Adrian wonderful stuff as always and not a Dutch Tilt in sight!!!
Some great angles and you just have to love that last Mexican Wave - made me smile
Great thread..........Great pix..........
A couple more from Blue Hills:
Firstly - thanks for the compliment John.
...PS. What's a Dutch Tilt? ;o)
Secondly - thats a great shot of the blue Escort Steve, spot on timing with that shutter.
