Brian the collection is amazing and I fully get ‘collectors’ having been a purchaser of ‘junk’ and purveyor of antiques I relied upon collectors to purchase the ‘junk’:oops::)

Or maybe even an E book , but a real paper one would be better .

    Actually I lied.

I have written up my experience re collecting. Just for my own amusement really and as a guide to my collection.

No I used to have a couple of copies on disc, chucked em.

But I have an Epson 4990 scanner somewhere.......in the loft I think, might drag it out and have a play.

Really getting desperate for something to do. :)

My God Neil, your Fliker pages are so neat............I feel an utter slag.

    Thanks Brian .
If you do have some free time to scan them , I would appreciate it .
I think a few others on here would too .
It's mainly Minolta cameras I have , I pretty much all the AF & MF SLRs , plus quite a few other bits and pieces .

The FSU cameras I have are a nice selection of Kiev , Zorky and Feds .
    135 & 120 .

Got myself a copy from one of my usual dealers via Abebooks.

Cost a bit more, but in very nice condition (doesn't even smell funny like older books tend to), corners slightly bumped but it even still has the attached bookmark. And in the little pocket at the back is the instruction book for the camera it presumably came free with!

Crumbs! I remember when there were piles of those on dealers' counters and they sometimes threatened to lock you in if you didn't take one! :D

That wouldn't have been so bad. At one time I had three copies of the book.

Right I have retrieved my Epson 4990 and could now scan the book.

[IMG]Scan 1 by Brian Tompkins, on Flickr

So I need some help. What I would like to do is scan the book ( 77 pages A4) Put it in a folder and make it accessible to anyone who would like a copy. But the scan shows a size of just over 1mb so x 77 that's a big folder to email . Also not being funny but I don't want to waste my time sending it to dozens of people. Unless there is a way I could plonk the folder into somewhere that everyone could just grab.

So in the simplest terms can anyone come up with a suggestion?

My limit is I can scan the book and put the pages into a folder..............

If you set up a free Dropbox account ( online / cloud storage ) you can upload it onto that just the once .
From there you can share it with anyone .
I've a few Minolta manuals on Dropbox , and some software as well , for people that's wanted a copy .

If you have any issues setting it up , you could send me the file . Anyone wants a copy can contact me and I'll either forward them it , or share the link on my Dropbox account .

There is usually an option to scan a multi page PDF - well, there is on my scanner, a Canoscan. This would allow you to scan all the pages as a single file. This should not be too large to share.
