Goodness me you are posting some hard hitting pictures, last year you really were dealt some very poor cards. I am thinking that I have posted some irrelevant fluff pictures and feeling rather grateful that so far I have got off lightly.

The one from Istanbul wasn't last year. My daughter passed away 6 years ago.

My apologies for offering a day too late, delivering my photo for the macro or in this case, the 1:1 photo comp ... ;)

That last picture is rather good and almost makes me believe the tag line in your signature.

I did wake at about 1.15am and it was darkish, but very boring. Unfortunately the sun woke me at 5am so night was over.
So old ones from me, I'm afraid.

Thank you very much. I actually got some cards made up from this photo. Think I've just got one left now. I did like the finished result too. :)

From our trip to The Gower, Sep '20 when we got lost coming back from the pub in the darkest of night with only a light on the phone!

I still find this so spooky! I'm afraid that's an abyss behind the feet!

I have only once tried to take pictures "after dark" and that was really out of curiosity as to how IBIS would work so this is 0.3s @ ISO 6400 which is way outside my normal operating envelop as it were. Dee suspension bridge from the Groves at Chester.

Actually I realise that is a mistruth. I went out on that occasion to test the IBIS but we did once go to a Dickensian evening street event in Tavistock which was dark. I had my 5Ds, no IBIS and not exactly a high ISO camera.

Looking again this looks a bit flat:

And I've posted this chap a few times, although he is self-illuminated

and this artificial snow was making a brave effort but not really succeeding - it has been posted before I am sure.
