    That's such a clever idea!
Mind you, these days we could probably do it with latex gloves. ;)
My brain says did you actually have to cut these individually? Is it card or paper? How, how? Would love to tell my neighbour's daughter how to do this with her children!

Yes it is scissors and paste. Everyone in the family was asked to do it. Trace around left and right hands on a heavy green art paper, not as thick as card, then decorate with paint/glue/glitter whatever. Good fun for the kids and we have both a large family and, with the grandchildren and spouses, a whole spread of hand-sizes so that it was easy to generate the different sized leaves. All the grandchildren like painting and drawing so it was great fun. Every household did a tree. To finish a trunk was added and a star on top. It stayed on the wall for ages, the leaves dropped less quickly than usual! It was a good way to stay in touch especially as the grandchildren wanted to know whose hands belonged to whom and where their hands had gone.

A search for "Hand" didn't turn up anything other than the Christmas Tree so I tried Arm. Came up with the Terracotta Army that I saw on exhibition in Brussels in November 2012 and I don't seem to have done anything with the pics. They pay a fair attention to hands - here a kneeling soldier would have been holding a spear, pike or standard or something.

I like these daily themes because they make me look back over old photos. This is me trying to be "creative" (hah) with differential focus back in 2009 though I have apparently posted it before because it is in my AP folder on Flickr in August 2020. It is a statue in Bruges somewhere, my keywording is somewhat haphazard.
